Spinning my curiosity wheels in education accelerated by Inlay. The new app is a Pitch analogue but for teachers — a creative tool to make lesson prep faster and better than before. As a result, teachers will have more extra time to teach.

Numbers

Studies compiled by VideoScribe show that subjects recall only 10% to 20% of information delivered through spoken lectures alone, but recall nearly 65% when information is presented both verbally and visually.

According to research from Cambridge University, dual-coded presentation materials (words paired with graphics) reduce the time required to understand complex concepts by 28% to 35%.

It's not another "time saver." Rather, it's an app intended to support teachers in engaging deeply with content and building strong curricula that develop learning continuously across year levels.

Understanding what students already know helps teachers review and extend their learning. Equally, it guides teachers' decisions about the knowledge and skills students need to develop now.

Inside we have:

Status

Since the app has been live for only 2 months at the moment, there is still no visible interest from users, relatively bad conversion with Google Ads, and I'm struggling to find better copy or explanations on the marketing page.

Although the app is not intended to be abandoned, it is a work in progress. Lesson generation is poor but pretty fast and cheap. The editor works in the majority of cases — great. Performance of the app in general - really good. But there are still a lot of areas for improvement.
